Item #:79600
Real Photo RPPC of the entrance to the massive structure at Tannenberg, honoring General (then German President) Paul von Hindenburg. This structure was erected to mark the famous WWI victory of Kaiser Wilhelm II's forces over the Russians, led, of course by General Hindenburg. The memorial also housed his tomb, but no longer exists, having been erased (with explosives) by the Soviets after WWII. With Hohenstein Tannenburg Sonderstempel / special cancel.
