Real Photo Postcard (RPPC) of original artwork from the Austrian Navy, showing the Austrians saving the crew of a sinking English cruiser. Used as a feldpost from the SMS Tegetthof, with Pola (now Pula, Croatia) cancel. A bit worn, as per scan. The Oesterreichische Kriegsmarine hasn't existed as such since 1918, when Austria lost all her sea-side bases to the newly formed Dalmatian-area countries, which had been themselves mostly confiscated from Italy in the Congress of Vienna, after Napoleon's fall.
